Virtual Assistant - Accountant (Part Time WFH)

Job Summary:

  • The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the accounting related task of our US company and our client. Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop software preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all functions of the Financial Management process and other general accounting activities.
  • On-going maintenance and completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly accounting records.
  • Managing the daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly financials of the portfolio.
  • Prepare journal entries to record daily and monthly financial transactions.
  • Reconcile daily and monthly general ledger accounts.
  • Payroll journal entries.
  • Transfer funds for payroll.
  • Benefits reconciliation.
  • Work with external auditors and prepare audit support schedules as necessary.
  • Assist other staff of the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
  • Maintain financial databases and computer software systems.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks software- preferred.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • Five years related accounting experience
