We're looking for a experienced bookkeeper and finance officer to become a part of our team!

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and performing bank reconciliations
• Prepare detailed financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies through thorough analysis and documentation
• Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial data
• Handle ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as needed
• Assist with the preparation of BAS, IAS, and financial statements
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• Managing books and finances for Storytellers Wedding Co and our other companies, with the option to also do bookkeeping and finances for a Church.

• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with Australian clients
• Proficiency in Xero
• Familiarity with Australian tax regulations and reporting standards (BAS, payroll, GST)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and meet deadlines consistently
