About the role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join GRAIA CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION in Bacoor City, Cavite on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal position within our engineering team, where you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical systems and components for our construction projects.Your expertise will directly contribute to the success and quality of our infrastructure initiatives, ensuring that all mechanical solutions are innovative, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for construction projects using industry-standard CAD software and engineering tools
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate mechanical solutions and provide recommendations to project stakeholders
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical installations and systems
- Oversee the installation and assembly of mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards
- Perform calculations and simulations to verify the performance, strength, and durability of mechanical components
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of mechanical systems to identify issues and implement corrective measures
- Maintain compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout all phases of the project
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project records and stakeholder communication
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in mechanical engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent qualification recognised in the Philippines
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or comparable programmes
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse teams and clients
- Experience with project management software and tools is advantageous
- Willingness to visit project sites and conduct field inspections as required
