QAQC Electrical Engineer
As a QA/QC Electrical Engineer for our solar power plant operations, you will ensure all electrical systems meet rigorous quality standards throughout operations and maintenance. You'll develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols, conduct inspections, manage documentation, and provide technical guidance to maintain safety and performance excellence across our solar facilities.
Expected Outcomes and Responsibilities:
- QA/QC
You will lead quality assurance and quality control activities for all electrical systems in our solar power plants. Your expertise will be critical in identifying potential issues early, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining the highest level of system reliability and safety.
- Equipment in Solar Power Plant
Working closely with project managers, contractors, and field personnel, you'll develop inspection plans and checklists tailored to solar power plant electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems. You'll conduct regular site visits to verify proper installation practices, perform equipment inspections, and witness critical tests to validate system performance.
- Documentation
- Documentation management will be a key responsibility, as you'll maintain comprehensive records of inspections, test results, non-conformances, and corrective actions. You'll create detailed reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies, ensuring all quality-related activities are properly tracked and archived for future reference and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance with Electrical Codes and Standards
You'll serve as the technical authority on electrical codes and standards relevant to solar power generation, including transmission or local utility requirements. By staying current with industry developments and best practices, you'll help our organization implement the most effective quality control measures and maintain compliance with evolving regulations.
- Corrective Maintenance
When quality issues arise, you'll lead investigations to determine root causes and develop appropriate corrective actions. Your analytical skills will be essential in evaluating equipment failures, installation defects, or design flaws, and your recommendations will drive improvements in our processes, specifications, and vendor management practices.
