COST ESTIMATOR – ELECTRICAL WORKS

Overview:

The Cost Estimator prepares accurate cost estimates for construction and project-based activities. This includes materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. The role requires experience in electrical works to ensure proper costing of electrical systems and installations, supporting effective budgeting and project planning.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction and electrical works, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings, including electrical layouts.
• Analyze historical data and current market prices for both general and electrical materials.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to validate estimates, especially for electrical requirements.
• Monitor project costs and report variances or potential savings.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
• Evaluate electrical systems and components to ensure accurate and efficient costing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical) or a related field.
• With experience in cost estimation and electrical works.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, including electrical plans.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or estimation tools.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Preferably with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
