Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, the Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and management of accounting systems, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Regular accounts payable and receivable management, including accurate invoicing and payment tracking.
- Ensure timely processing of payroll and liabilities, maintaining precise payroll records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Provide monthly financial statements and management reporting.
- Liaise with clients to address financial queries and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and due dates for payments and statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Liaise with external auditors and tax agents when needed
- Use accounting tools such as Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office to complete tasks efficiently
- At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Prior experience working with Australian companies is required
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office (required)
- Proficiency in financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus
- Familiarity with the investment, finance, or asset management sector (nice to have)
- Stable internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download speed
- Must have own IT equipment (computer/laptop, headset, and other necessary peripherals)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PH/Perth Time
