Electrical Engineer

What you'll be doing

Project Planning, Procurement, and Documentation:

1. Review of Electrical and Electronics/Auxiliary Plans of the project.
2. Prepare budgetary estimates (BOQ) or material take-offs.
3. Request necessary materials for the project.
4. Review product submittals, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
5. Evaluate specifications of materials from each supplier.
6. Evaluate subcontractor quotations for the project

Site Implementation:

• Supervise installation of the following:

Electrical: Power Distribution, Lighting, Grounding, and Lightning Protection

• Coordinate with subcontractors, electricians, and foremen for daily site activities.
• Work with safety officers to mitigate electrical hazards at the site.
• Secure electrical permits and coordinate with utility providers when needed.
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with approved plans and standards.
• Supervise and witness testing and commissioning of electrical systems such as insulation resistance (megger), continuity, and functionality.
• Prepare testing and commissioning reports.
• Assist in project energization and power-up

Project Monitoring:

1. Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, Gantt Chart/S-Curve schedules, and status updates.
2. Coordinate all reports to the Project-in-Charge or Project Manager.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
• Proficient in electrical system design, project management, and problem-solving
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
