Project Manager (IT Banking Project)

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, or an equivalent qualification in Information Technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, capable of working independently and self-managing. (Non-negotiable)
• Must have proven experience leading cross-functional teams, including Developers (IT), UI/UX Designers, QA/Testers, Business Analysts, and other relevant stakeholders. (Non-negotiable)
• Must have at least 5 years of extensive experience in Project Management and Stakeholder Management, with heavy hands-on involvement. (Non-negotiable)
• Must have at least 5 years of solid experience in software implementation and/or software development projects. (Non-negotiable)
• Must have at least 5 years of experience managing third-party vendors, service providers, and external partners. (Non-negotiable)
• Strong background in system implementation. (Non-negotiable)
• Experience in a banking and/or credit card operations environment is required. (Non-negotiable)
• Strong knowledge of application design, application integration principles, and straight-through processing (STP).
• Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and other project management methodologies. (Non-negotiable)
• Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks, including Lean, Kanban, and Scrum. (Non-negotiable)
• Proven experience specifically in Scrum processes. (Non-negotiable)
• Broad understanding of the different segments of the banking business, with the ability to relate unit operations and performance metrics to the organization’s overall business objectives.'
• Must have excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) (Non-negotiable)

• Performs project management responsibilities in either waterfall and agile methodology
• Prepares/creates and maintains Project Plan, Work Plan and securing the necessary approval as applicable.
• Prepares/creates Project Status Report and reporting the same in terms of delivery of schedule, quality and scope.
• Tracks Project budget and costs as applicable.
• Ensures documentation of all risks and issues associated with the Project, working with the Project Team to facilitate resolution and timely escalation as deemed necessary.
• Participates and facilitates in relevant meetings, as required.
• Ensures compliance with internal and external policies, security and legal regulatory requirements as applicable. Supports audit exercises when needed. Facilitates post-implementation or similar activity and prepares Close-Out Report as applicable
• Ensures of completion of required documents at the end of the project
• Manages the Scrum process with the coordination of Scrum Team in Agile methodology.
• Ensures that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices and rules.
• Acts as a servant-leader for the Scrum Team, as applicable.
• Facilitates Scrum events (e.g. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective) as needed and ensures that they are conducted as scheduled, as applicable.
• Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
