Workday Senior Engineer (HCM, Absence, Benefits) New

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf on one of the world's renounced Academic Research Institute that provides learning and Education to people.

This role is based in Makati City and requires a hybrid work setup.

The Workday Senior Engineer will also use their knowledge of Workday configuration to advise on pre requisites for any new development requests and ensure that technical constraints are fully understood. This role will also require close partnership with our HR Operations area, working with colleagues to implement continuous improvements in our HR Solutions application offering.

• Have a common sense approach to development, be able to advise on the best use of the core functionality without excessive customisation and be able to constructively pushback on unreasonable requests.
• Experience in driving workday functional design for a specific module area.
• The ability to work independently and drive teams to deliver.
• The ability to listen to requirements and provide imaginative solutions to challenges.
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear lines of communication.
• Acting as SME in Workday technology, ensuring the utilisation of Workday functionality and architecture.

• Able to adapt to new situations, with skills to influence and communicate from the technical specialist to the senior executive.
• Keep informed of technical innovations and developments on new and existing platforms and applications to apply that knowledge in delivering the best possible service to internal and external customers.

• Understanding of, and experience of working within the ITIL framework.
• Knowledge of all HR end to end processes.
• Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies, and an aptitude for learning new tools.

• Workday HCM certified in addition to module specific certification.
• 5+ years of consulting experience or significant hands-on experience within an in-house Workday technical team.
• Will have strong experience of being a module SME for either HCM; Talent and Performance; Compensation and Benefits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both technical and non-technical audiences. The post-holder must be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience with Excel, Visio and Powerpoint.
• Experience of working with both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
