Job Summary:This role will work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless IT operations, diagnose issues, and offer resolutions in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong technical background, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support to end-users for technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and IT systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network infrastructure.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and software installations as required.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of IT equipment and systems.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, or phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT devices.
- Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
- Provide training and support to end-users on various software applications, systems, and IT tools.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and ensure best practices are followed.
- Assist with the management of network and server infrastructure, including backups, data storage, and security.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Preferably with 1 year experience on the job role.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in IT support or a similar technical support role.
- Solid understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and networks.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) and commonly used software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Experience with network management and administration (LAN, VPN, etc.).
- Knowledge of security best practices, firewalls, antivirus, and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, etc.) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of database management and software scripting.
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and virtual environments.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
