Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional back-end development experience
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and/or Laravel
• Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS
• Working knowledge of Docker for containerization and local development
• Proficiency in Git for source control and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with the Zoho ecosystem, including Zoho CRM and Deluge scripting
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization frameworks, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and RBAC
• Experience with background job processing tools such as Sidekiq, Resque, or Laravel Queues

• Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached

• Strong attention to detail and a security-conscious approach to development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment

• Remote role supporting a distributed team across Australia and international markets
• Participation in virtual sprint planning, code reviews, architecture discussions, and team collaboration sessions
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• High degree of autonomy in task management and project delivery
• Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications using Ruby on Rails and/or Laravel
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end applications and third-party service integrations
• Implement and manage authentication and authorization systems, including OAuth 2.0 and role-based access control
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including schema development, migrations, and query performance improvements

• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications within AWS environments
• Containerize applications using Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements
• Manage source code through Git while following branching strategies and version control best practices

• Develop and maintain integrations between back-end systems and the Zoho ecosystem using REST APIs and webhooks
• Build custom automation and server-side functionality using Deluge scripting within Zoho applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data flows and system architectures

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, integrations, system architecture, and deployment processes
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
