Accounting Associate

Job Summary:

The Accounting Associate is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role supports month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

• Performs accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
• Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports
• Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduates of BS Accountancy.
• Preferably with background in Bank Reconciliation, Statutory/Tax Reporting, Asset Accounting, Inter-company Reconciliation or Financial Statements Reporting
• Knowledge in SAP is an advantage
• Shared Services/ BPO experience is a plus
• Knowledgeable with MS Excel
