Your Impact

As an Insurance Verification and Authorization Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate insurance verification and authorization activities. Your role will be critical in maintaining operational excellence, supporting patient access to care, and driving revenue cycle success.

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the Insurance Verification and Authorization team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce scheduling, and employee development initiatives.
• Track operational metrics and service-level targets, ensuring productivity, quality, and turnaround expectations are consistently achieved.
• Identify workflow gaps and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, minimize authorization delays, and reduce revenue leakage.
• Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with payer requirements, internal policies, and industry regulations.
• Work closely with Revenue Cycle, Billing, and Accounts Receivable teams to analyze denial trends and develop corrective action plans.
• Partner with healthcare providers, clients, and technical support teams to streamline processes, improve system functionality, and promote clean claim submission.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning by mentoring staff, supporting career development initiatives, and communicating payer policy changes and industry updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the US healthcare revenue cycle, specifically within insurance verification and prior authorization functions.
• At least one (1) year of experience leading or supervising a team in a healthcare operations environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance eligibility verification, authorization requirements, payer policies, and medical coding concepts including CPT and ICD-10.
• Hands-on experience utilizing payer portals, authorization platforms such as Availity, and electronic medical record systems including Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills with a minimum proficiency level of CEFR B2.

• Proven success managing remote or hybrid healthcare teams and leading operational improvement initiatives across multiple workstreams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
• Previous experience supporting US-based healthcare organizations, providers, or insurance payers.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strong commitment to data privacy, regulatory compliance, and HIPAA standards
