Customer Service & Billing Representative
About the Role:
NetServ is seeking an experienced Customer Service & Billing Representative to join our remote team supporting U.S.-based clients.
This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in customer service, billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable who can work independently, communicate professionally with clients, and handle financial information with accuracy and care.
As our billing operations continue to grow, this role also offers the opportunity to develop into a Billing Team Lead position. The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of billing processes, helping improve procedures, training future team members, and eventually helping oversee the day-to-day activities of a growing billing team.
Previous team lead, supervisory, mentoring, or staff-training experience is highly preferred.
Work Schedule
Full-Time — Night Shift
Monday through Friday:
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time
- 11:00 PM–8:00 AM Philippine Time
This position supports our California-based office and U.S. clients.
Monthly Compensation
₱70,000–₱80,000 PHP per month, depending on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process client invoices accurately and on schedule
- Review billing information for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
- Respond professionally to client questions regarding invoices, payments, credits, and account balances by email and phone
- Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with accounts receivable collection activities
- Coordinate with internal departments to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate, organized, and well-documented billing and client account records
- Monitor recurring billing activities and help ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Prepare billing reports, aging summaries, account updates, and other management reports as needed
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive client experience
- Identify opportunities to improve billing procedures, documentation, and internal workflows
- Assist with documenting standard operating procedures for billing and collections
- Help train, mentor, and support future billing team members as the department grows
- Take increasing ownership of billing team coordination, quality control, and workflow management
- Support management in developing a structured and scalable billing department
Future Team Leadership Responsibilities
As the company and billing department grow, the person in this role may have the opportunity to:
- Help onboard and train new billing representatives
- Review the accuracy and completeness of team billing work
- Help assign and prioritize billing activities
- Monitor deadlines, outstanding balances, and unresolved client billing matters
- Provide coaching, guidance, and procedural support to team members
- Help maintain consistent billing and customer service standards
- Escalate complex billing issues to management when necessary
- Assist with team performance reporting and process improvements
- Serve as a primary point of coordination between the billing team and company management
Advancement into a formal Billing Team Lead position will be based on performance, leadership ability, reliability, billing expertise, and the continued growth of the department.
Required Qualifications- Minimum of five years of professional experience in customer service, billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable for a U.S.-based company
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong experience communicating with U.S.-based clients by phone and email
- CRM or professional services automation experience, preferably with Autotask PSA
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions such as VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional judgment when handling confidential client and financial information
- Reliable internet connection and an appropriate home-office environment for working U.S. business hours
- Previous experience as a billing team lead, customer service team lead, senior billing specialist, or supervisor
- Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding team members
- Experience developing billing procedures or standard operating procedures
- Experience overseeing billing quality control or reviewing the work of other team members
- Experience with accounts receivable aging and collection follow-ups
- Experience working for a managed service provider, telecommunications company, technology company, or professional services organization
- Interest in developing into a formal team leadership position
