Job Summary:
The job of the Accounting Assistant is primarily to support the accounting department by performing the following: bookkeeping, recording, monitoring, preparation, submission of financial management reports. Its general objective is to make sure that financial transactions are accurately recorded, processed on time, and prepared and submitted to management in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Create and update expense reports
- Process reimbursement forms
- Prepare bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Accounting or Finance Graduate (CPA license not required)
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant (open for newly graduates)
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks but optional)
- Organization skills and willing to be trained
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
