Repair Technician Team Leader (Laptop Repair)

Location: Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Repair Technician Team Leader to oversee our laptop repair operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in laptop hardware and software repair, with at least one (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience.

This role is responsible for leading the repair team, ensuring high-quality repair services, improving operational efficiency, preparing reports, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the Repair Technician team to achieve daily and monthly performance goals.
  • Assign repair jobs based on technician expertise, workload, and priority.
  • Monitor technician productivity, attendance, and overall performance.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and hands-on support to team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and development opportunities.
  • Diagnose and repair laptop hardware and software issues, including screen replacements, keyboard replacements, motherboard repairs, charging port repairs, battery replacements, and other component-level repairs.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, soldering, and board-level repairs when necessary.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure hardware components such as RAM, SSD, HDD, Wi-Fi cards, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
  • Perform data backup, recovery, and migration services when required.
  • Handle complex repair cases and provide technical escalation support to the team.
  • Conduct quality inspections and testing to ensure all repaired devices meet company standards before release.
  • Ensure compliance with repair procedures, quality standards, safety policies, and company guidelines.
  • Monitor repair turnaround time (TAT) and ensure service level targets are consistently achieved.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to the Repair Team, including technician productivity, repair completion rates, pending repairs, turnaround time, quality metrics, inventory usage, and overall operational performance.
  • Analyze repair data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
  • Maintain accurate repair records, service documentation, and team performance reports.
  • Monitor the availability of repair tools, spare parts, and consumables, and coordinate replenishment when necessary.
  • Ensure proper handling, security, and accountability of customer devices and company assets.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns and provide technical recommendations when needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a positive, organized, and high-performing work environment through effective leadership and teamwork.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, Technical/Vocational Diploma, or equivalent experience in Electronics, Computer Technology, Information Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a Laptop Repair Technician or in a similar technical repair role.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of laptop hardware, software, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in component-level repair and soldering is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and report preparation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality repair services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work onsite in Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing repair turnaround time (TAT) and service-level targets.
  • Experience using repair ticketing, service management, or inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and workflow optimization.
  • Experience training and mentoring repair technicians.
