Occupational Health Nurse / Company Nurse

Role Overview

The Occupational Health Nurse / Company Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services within a corporate or site-based environment, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of employees. This role supports occupational health programs, provides immediate medical care, and ensures compliance with local health regulations and company policies.

The position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and productive workforce through proactive health management, emergency response, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Emergency Response
  • Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical care for workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Assess employee health conditions and determine appropriate interventions or referrals
  • Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with hospitals or emergency services as needed
  • Maintain accurate medical records and incident reports
Occupational Health & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health standards, DOLE regulations, and company policies
  • Support workplace health and safety programs, including risk assessments and hazard identification
  • Assist in accident investigations and recommend preventive measures
  • Monitor workplace conditions to identify potential health risks
Health Programs & Preventive Care
  • Conduct pre-employment and annual medical examinations
  • Implement wellness programs, health campaigns, and vaccination drives
  • Monitor employee health trends and recommend interventions to improve overall workforce health
  • Provide health education and counseling to employees
Case Management & Coordination
  • Manage work-related injuries, illnesses, and return-to-work programs
  • Coordinate with company physicians, specialists, and external healthcare providers
  • Facilitate medical referrals, clearances, and follow-ups
  • Support insurance and HMO-related medical documentation
Clinic Operations & Administration
  • Maintain clinic supplies, medicines, and equipment inventory
  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with audit requirements
  • Prepare health reports and analytics for management review
  • Assist in developing and implementing health-related policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • At least 2–5 years of experience in occupational health, corporate clinic, or hospital setting
  • Licensed Nurse (PRC Registered Nurse)
  • With BOSH Training (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) — preferred or required depending on site
  • Experience in emergency response and workplace health management is an advantage
