Solutions Architect

Job description:

• We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong background in the life insurance industry to design and implement innovative solutions that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of life insurance products, processes, and regulations, as well as a proven track record in technology architecture and project management. There is an expectation for Solutions Architect to also go deep into details like code, review/instruct solution designers and developers, and even be part of delivery team

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the overall Architect for a specific domain, looking after all solutions (and interdependencies) relating to said domain regardless of the area.
• Works with the Enterprise Architect/s on the overall strategy and provides direction to Solutions Designers (SolDes) on developing solutions for their specific areas.
• Ensures that Solutions designed by SolDes adhere to standards and provides review and sign-off on designs relating to their domains.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design and develop scalable and secure solutions that enhance the customer experience and streamline operations.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of software products and services.
• Oversee the implementation of new systems, including integration with existing platforms.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the life insurance sector.

Preferred skills:

• Solution Architecture and Design and Technical Leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, preferably in the life insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of life insurance products, business processes, and regulatory environment.
• Proficiency in modern architecture patterns, cloud services, and software development practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
