Job Summary:

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role ensures that warehouse operations run smoothly and align with company goals for supply chain efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include inventory control, logistics planning, staff supervision, and coordination with suppliers and internal departments. The manager ensures compliance with safety standards, optimizes workflows, and implements best practices to maximize productivity and accuracy in the warehouse and logistics functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Fleet Management:
  • Oversees logistics function of the warehouse to ensure supplies, stocks, materials, packages, and/or products are transported efficiently and and safely.
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
  • Responsible to maintaining the physical condition of company trucks and cars.
  • 2. Assets Management:
  • Making sure all assets are received, stored, and dispatched properly. This includes proper tagging of assets and system inventory.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to streamline supply chain processes.
  1. People Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of logistics staff, including drivers and helpers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  1. Documentation:
  • Properly keep logistics files such as delivery receipts and route form
Qualifications
  1. Communication:
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to interact with senior managers and partners comfortably and effectively.
  1. Leadership:
  • Management ability to coach direct reports and support staff development at all levels.
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff teams through example, communication, and a supportive approach.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP/logistics software is an advantage
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and organization skills
