VP - Energy Management

The Vice President – Energy Management is responsible for leading the end-to-end market execution of the energy capacity portfolio of the company. This role owns the overall offtake sales and marketing execution, and regulatory-compliant contracting across all routes to market, including GEAP, DUs, ECs, and RESs.

The role covers PSA/REPA contracting and negotiations, to ERC approval and contract implementation, while ensuring bankability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company's investment and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Platform Offtake & Energy Markets Strategy Execution
  • Execute the overall offtake, sales, and marketing strategy for all the company's assets (solar, solar + BESS, and future technologies).
  • Coordinate closely with the Development team to ensure integrated commercial execution.
  1. GEAP (Green Energy Auction Program) Leadership
  • Lead GEAP participation, including:
  • Bid structuring, pricing strategy, and volume allocation
  • Coordination of technical, legal, and financial inputs
  • Oversee bidding activities from submission through Notice of Award (NOA).
  • Lead REPA documentation and implementation
  • Coordinate post-award execution, including milestones, conditions precedent, and contract effectiveness.
  1. Distribution Utilities (DUs) & Electric Cooperatives (ECs)
  • Lead Competitive Selection Process (CSP) participation for DUs and ECs.
  • Drive PSA structuring, drafting, and negotiations
  • Manage the full ERC approval process, including hearings, clarifications, and post-approval implementation.
  • Serve as primary commercial interface with DU/EC counterparts throughout the PSA lifecycle.
  1. Retail Electricity Suppliers (RES)
  • Lead commercial discussions with RES players for bilateral PSAs.
  • Oversee PSA drafting, negotiations, execution, and implementation of the PSAs
  • Serve as primary commercial interface with RES counterparts throughout the PSA lifecycle.
  1. Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
  • Maintain strong working relationships with:
  • DOE, ERC, NGCP, PEMC/IEMOP (as relevant)
  • DUs, ECs, RES, and counterparties
  • Financial institutions and advisors
  • Represent the company in commercial and market-facing discussions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 2–15+ years of experience in the Philippine power markets
  • Demonstrated experience in: GEAP participation, CSP processes for DUs and ECs, PSA structuring, negotiation, and ERC approvals and RES contracting.
