Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to manage financial operations, from daily bookkeeping to BIR tax compliance. In this role, you will maintain accurate journals and ledgers, oversee accounts payable, and coordinate with external partners to ensure timely financial reporting and audits.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero. If you are a hands-on professional capable of meeting strict processing deadlines in a mid-shift environment, we encourage you to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible to oversee daily transactions, including tax audit, compliance, general accounting, and finance
• Maintain and balance the manual books namely, Sales Journal, Purchases Journal, General Ledgers, Cash Receipts Journal, and Cash Disbursement Journal, in a precise, complete, and up-to-date manner
• Will work closely with the Company's External Accounting to ensure and manage tax returns and other BIR reports and compliance.
• Compliance to BIR issuances and regulations
• Administer reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis for multiple entities.
• Perform all duties related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and handling payments
• Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay company’s obligations
• Produce financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
• Analyze and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance.
• Meet processing and reporting deadlines accurately and timely.
• Ensures that payables are submitted on time so that expenses are properly charged to incurring month

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related courses, CPA is a plus
• Proficient knowledge in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
• Experience in JustFoods Accounting Software is a plus.
• 3-5 years relevant experience working in Accounting and Bookkeeping
• US Bookkeeping experience is a plus
• Competency in MS Office databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
• Books transactions properly and accurately
• Good written and verbal English communication skills
• Amenable to work on a mid-shift schedule
• Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (2x onsite/week)
• Can start ASAP/ immediately
