Join Nasdaq’s team in Manila as an Application Management Junior Engineer, where you’ll help deliver and support high-performance, low latency trading systems for financial institutions worldwide. This role goes beyond technical tasks—it's about ensuring the stability, resiliency, scalability, and performance of platforms that power the global economy.If you're passionate about building robust, fault-tolerant systems, automating recovery processes, and solving sophisticated challenges in critical environments, this is your chance to make a real impact.
- This position is intentionally structured as a second-line role, rather than first-line support; as a critical issue point, you will handle the resolution of sophisticated issues, coordinating between technical teams and partners to ensure rapid and effective problem-solving beyond initial fixing.
- Supervise operational health, analyze system trends, and find opportunities to optimize resilience and availability. Respond to incidents as needed, ensuring both proactive and reactive support.
- Collaborate closely with market operations, client success, and various technology teams to resolve raised issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and drive process improvements that increase reliability and enhance client experience.
- Take ownership of updating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, such as step-by-step operational procedures, fixing manuals, and quick-reference guides, so that team members and partners always have access to clear and current resources.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems
- At least 2–5 years of experience in application management, technical support, or a similar environment, preferably within global organizations in banking, exchanges, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, including basic networking, virtualization, and cloud deployment models (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Git and GitLab, including repository management, branching strategies, merge workflows, conflict resolution, and fixing CI/CD pipeline.
- Familiarity with Java Virtual Machine (JVM) configuration and diagnostics, including setting and optimizing memory parameters, analyzing thread dumps and trapped exceptions.
- Direct, hands-on experience with Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Proficiency with automation, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, SQL), and configuration management/infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
- Proven skills in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with service management platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, and BMC Remedy.
- Ability to clearly document technical procedures, produce reusable knowledge base articles, and maintain high standards of operational documentation.
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—with a consistent record of handling raised issues expertly and engaging with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a highly organized approach to multi-tasking in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
- Understanding of ITIL concepts, service level metrics, and experience using monitoring and automation tools in Agile or DevOps frameworks.
- Adaptability, commitment to high professional standards, and a collaborative, hands-on demeanor.
- Amenable to work in morning and/or afternoon shifts.
- Ability to work on Saturdays depending on business needs.

What Would Be Helpful:
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cloud Technologies, AWS Certifications, Kubernetes, or Agile-related).
- Experience within global organizations, especially in banking, exchange, or technology sectors.
- Understanding of financial markets and trading concepts is an advantage.
