Design Engineer (Civil)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Acts as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.
• Ensures that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications oversee the selection and requisition of materials.
• Liaises with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Carries out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors - this site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.

• Participates in planning and efficiently organizes the site in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
• Effectively assists in preparing various construction documents, billing, bidding, and permits.
• Strictly adheres to the budgetary guidelines, timeline, safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Must be a licensed Civil Engineer
• With 3-5 years experience in construction or real estate developer
• Familiar with AutoCad and MS Office
