DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as a Kitchen Crew are as follows:

  • Maintain clean utensils and a clean, hygienic, and sanitary work area at all times
  • Receive stock deliveries, conduct inventory, order stocks, and notify the Supervisor of items to be discarded
  • Assist in managing stock and help ensure that the store has enough stock throughout the day
  • Help in making sure food is of high quality and produced on time
  • Prepare all necessary seasoning, oil, and other ingredients needed for cooking
  • Set up an à la carte station with tools/equipment and utensils needed for cooking
  • Prepare soup stock and different sauces, pre-cook fried items, and cook different dishes based on the kitchen guide with the right taste, portioning, and appearance
  • Cut and slice vegetables, meat, and seafood
  • See and identify the right color, appearance of raw materials, and completeness of the products
  • Can work in the kitchen area for long hours on their feet over hot stoves and grills
  • Ensure that all store supplies required are available as needed
  • Perform the dispatch person task
OPENING AND CLOSING PROCEDURE
  • One of the basic responsibilities OF A Kitchen Crew is to open or close the store
  • Opening requires him/her to arrive early, open the store, and then get it ready for the day’s business
  • Delegate the responsibility to the crew that will open the store; he/she will, in turn, be liable to you in case protocol is not followed
  • Before closing the store, he/she must ensure the all customers have left
  • To close the store- balance the registers, clean the store, and lock up
STOCKS AND INVENTORY
  • First In First Out (FIFO) system
  • Receive stocks and inform the Supervisor of any lacking orders and if any items are to be discarded
  • Responsible for variances, safety, and security both for the stockroom and kitchen area
  • Make sure that the Inventory Levels are maintained, no run-out or overstocking
  • Wastages and quality monitoring (shelf life, delivery date, expiration date
QUALITY CONTROL
  • He/she must ensure that the Kitchen/Service Crew is following the standard procedures when cooking and preparing orders
  • He/she must be very strict with the quality of the food the kitchen is producing
  • Review operational reports as well as records to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements
  • College graduate or college level in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • NC II/NC III in Food Handling, Cooking, or related field is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in food safety, preparation, hygiene, and kitchen equipment operation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Physically fit
  • Preferably male
