As Estimating Manager, you will lead and oversees the cost estimating function within our organization for interior and other related projects across Australia and New Zealand. This role involves managing a team of estimators locally in the Philippines and delivering estimates to our local Australia and New Zealand teams, developing estimating procedures, and ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects.You will also play a key role in the bidding process and provide crucial cost information to support project planning and execution.
Secondarily as Offshore Team Lead you will help manage and motivate our offshore team of professionals overseeing daily operations, ensuring team members meet performance goals, fostering communication and collaboration, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.Along with our Australia and New Zealand team leaders, you will play a key role in training, development, and performance management of the offshore team members. In essence, an Offshore Team Lead acts as a bridge between the offshore team and the organization, ensuring smooth operations, high performance, and a positive team dynamic.

The main responsibilities of a ESTIMATING MANAGER (OFFSHORE TEAM LEAD) include:
- Leading and managing the Estimating Team, including task management, resource allocation, and mentoring junior estimators.
- Developing and implementing standardized estimating processes, methodologies, and systems to ensure accurate and reliable cost estimates.
- Overseeing the bidding process to ensure estimates are competitive and complete with all necessary information.
- Analyzing project requirements by reviewing plans, specifications, and documentation to identify labor, material, equipment, and service needs.
- Generating detailed cost estimates, including material quantities, labor hours, and potential cost variations.
- Communicating estimates to executive management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Implementing quality control measures to ensure all estimates meet company standards.
- Conducting benchmarking and identifying areas for continuous improvement in estimating practices.
- Providing expert cost advice and budget planning support to project teams.
- Mentoring and coaching team members to promote estimating best practices and professional development.
- Providing guidance, direction, and motivation to the offshore team, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
- Helping set individual and team performance goals, monitoring progress, giving feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Facilitating clear and consistent communication between the offshore team and internal stakeholders to support effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Identifying and resolving team or individual issues, escalating when necessary.
- Identifying training needs, developing training programs, and supporting the growth and upskilling of team members.
- Managing team resources, including time, budget, and materials, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Ensuring the offshore team’s work meets quality standards and complies with relevant company policies and procedures.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, with 1–3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- Experience in commercial interior fit-outs and construction is required; other construction experience is also welcome.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team, delegate tasks effectively, and manage performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex
- information, identify cost drivers, and resolve challenges effectively.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and systems.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and cost factors.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including across different cultures and time zones.
- Strong negotiation skills, particularly in dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to build rapport, foster positive working relationships, and manage diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines efficiently.
