The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting instructors during laboratory experiments, ensuring all apparatus are prepared and ready for use, and maintaining equipment in optimal condition. Duties include operating, cleaning, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, as well as managing inventory by maintaining adequate stocks of materials and supplies.
Qualifications/Requirements- A bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applied sciences
- Preferably graduate of BET in Chemical Engineering Technology or BS in Applied Physics
- At least one year work experience, preferably in instrumentation and controls
- Must possess skills in testing, basic calibration of equipment, equipment maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
- Knowledge of lab safety protocols including proper handling of chemicals, biological samples, and waste disposal
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
