Driver/Technician
The Driver/Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber, optic cables, copper cables, and associated equipment. This includes a wide range of activities from aerial cable installation, to troubleshooting network issues and performing preventative maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum requirement of elementary graduate qualification is required for this position.
Reports directly to Technical Head and Team Leader.
Prepares the materials needed for the day's work and coordinate any missing items to Technical Head and Safety Officer.
Specific Description of Work including but not limited to:
Standard Installations
Terminations, Splicing & Testings together with the help and coordination of Technician team members.
Conducting Works & Pull Box Installations
Splicing & Testing
Follow the safety and health rules established by your company, Report unsafe conditions or actions to your supervisor or safety and health committee representative promptly.
Report all work-related injuries and illnesses to your Safety Officer promptly, regardless of how minor they may seem.
Report all near miss incidents to your Team Leader and Technical Head promptly.
Always use personal protective equipment that is in good working condition when it is required.
Do not remove or bypass any safety device or safeguard provided for your protection.
Encourage your co-workers to use safe work practices on the job.
Make suggestions to your Technical Head on safety and health committee representative, or management about changes that will improve employee safety and health.
