About the role
Sert Technology Inc. is seeking an Information Security Officer to join our growing team on a full-time basis in General Trias City, Cavite. This is a strategic position that plays a crucial role in protecting our organization's information assets, infrastructure, and digital operations.As Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security strategies that safeguard our company against evolving cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
This role is essential to maintaining the trust of our clients and stakeholders whilst enabling our business to operate securely in an increasingly digital landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, analyze, and maintain the organization's information security infrastructure.
- Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and networks.
- Implement and manage security controls to protect information assets from unauthorized access, malware, and cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments, risk analyses, and vulnerability scans.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into system design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Monitor compliance with applicable security regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Stay informed of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, recommending appropriate security improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of information security principles, cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and security best practices.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, identity and access management (IAM), SIEM, vulnerability management, and security monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of network security, operating systems, cloud security, and incident response processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
