About the role
PTC Commercial Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Aircon & Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Tondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of air conditioning and refrigeration systems for both commercial and residential clients.You will play a vital part in ensuring that our clients' cooling and refrigeration equipment operates efficiently and reliably, contributing to their comfort and business continuity.
What you'll be doing- Installing, servicing, and maintaining air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults in cooling and refrigeration equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques
- Performing preventative maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Repairing and replacing faulty components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant lines, and electrical controls
- Handling, storing, and disposing of refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols
- Conducting system inspections and providing detailed reports to clients regarding the condition and performance of their equipment
- Responding promptly to service calls and emergency repairs to minimise downtime for clients
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
- Maintaining accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients through professional and courteous service
- Proven experience as an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician with a strong track record of successful installations, repairs, and maintenance work
- Technical qualification or certification in air conditioning and refrigeration (such as EPA certification or equivalent recognised credentials)
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, electrical systems, and mechanical components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, including manifold gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and recovery machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to clients in a clear and professional manner
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation for travelling to client sites throughout Metro Manila
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heights and confined spaces
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Preferred: Experience with commercial refrigeration systems, preventative maintenance programmes, and energy-efficient cooling solutions
