Job Description: Materials Engineer:- Review and approve material submittals, technical data sheets, and samples from contractors.
- Verify compliance of materials with project specifications, international standards (ASTM, AASHTO, PNS, ISO, etc.), and client requirements.
- Supervise the quality work and witnessing the laboratory and field tests during the construction of all material.
- Maintain a record or logbook of daily activities ready for inspection anytime.
- Monitor contractors' material procurement, storage, handling, and installation procedures to ensure quality and traceability.
- Identify non-conforming materials, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Taking care of QA/QC Documents such as lab tests results, certificates, inspection request, non-conformance report and site instructions.
- Liaise with independent testing laboratories and verify test reports.
- Check/inspects quality standards for test, inspection, and evaluation.
- Reporting to the Quality Manager for any concerns related to quality issue.
Qualifications/Requirements
Experience : With at least 2-7 years in Material Engineer, Civil, and/or Construction FieldEducation : Must be a Bachelor’s degree holder
