POSITION: Senior Java Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Configuration Lead with deep expertise in merging Java source code to oversee source code integration, version control, and configuration management practices across multiple development teams. This role ensures that code from various feature branches and contributors is cleanly and efficiently merged, conflicts are resolved proactively, and code integrity is maintained throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end source code merge and configuration process across multiple Java development streams.
• Manage and optimize SVN workflows (e.g., SVN Flow, trunk-based development) for distributed teams.
• Analyze, resolve, and document complex code merge conflicts during integrations and releases.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to maintain code consistency and quality.
• Enforce and maintain branching, versioning, and tagging standards.
• Review merge requests and provide guidance or corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain build integrity and ensure environment consistency across staging, test, and production.
• Implement automation tools or scripts to streamline configuration and merge tasks.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior configuration analysts or engineers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for source control issues and configuration strategy.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in configuration management or software development with a strong focus on Java.
• Proven experience handling complex source code merges and conflict resolution.
• Deep knowledge of svn, branching strategies, and CI/CD tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy) to automate configuration and build processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with microservices-based architecture.
• Background in build engineering or release engineering.

Soft Skills:

• High attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration mindset.
