Assistant branch head

About the role

As ASSISTANT BRANCH HEAD, you will play a vital role in supporting the branch's operations and contributing to the overall success of our organisation.

• Assist the Branch Head in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
• Collaborate with the Branch Head to develop and implement strategic plans for the branch
• Manage and supervise a team of administrative and customer service staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
• Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to facilitate the smooth running of the branch
• Analyse branch performance data and provide recommendations for improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
• Assist in the development and implementation of new initiatives and projects
• Provide exceptional customer service and address any escalated issues or concerns

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar managerial or supervisory role, preferably in the government or public sector
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Thorough understanding of government operations, policies, and procedures
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
• Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support branch operations
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Relevant tertiary qualification or certification in a related field
