KITCHEN TECHNICIAN

1. Responsible for the repairs , trouble shooting and maintenance of hotel’s kitchen equipment and its equipment controls and systems.
2. Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of kitchen equipment and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, washers, ovens, dryers, dishwashers and water coolers.
3. Conduct periodic inspection, cleaning and equipment servicing based on PM schedule.
4. Installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment including setting up electrical connections, gas supply and water lines.
5. Conduct regular inspection of electrical panels, circuits, controls and motors based on preventive maintenance (PM) schedule.
6. Regular tightening of termination on controls and circuit breakers based on PM shift and schedules.
7. Execute repair and maintenance on a regular basis or as directed by superiors.
8. Ensure that the Fire & Life Safety is followed and practice at all times.
9. Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and follow proper hygiene practices.
10. Maintain accurate logs of repairs, maintenance and service reports for all kitchen machinery & equipment.
11. Assist other technicians in attending other engineering concerns when available or as directed by the superiors.
12. Performs other duties and responsibilities given by immediate head.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Education: Graduate of a Technical/Vocational course (e.g. Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (DOMRAC), Electrical, or Mechanical Technology).
2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience repairing hotel, restaurant or catering equipment.
