The Application & Technical Specialist provides product application and engineering support to Nihon Kohden customers. As important member in the commercial team, the Application & Technical Specialist will support the Sales Manager on sales and product related activities to achieve the business objectives of Nihon Kohden.

Product responsibilities:

  • Responsible for critical care product Portfolio.
  • Provide support to customers and Nihon Kohden sales team on all product and application related requirement.
  • Attend to all product related enquiry.
  • Plan and provide regular product update, product, and application training to customer of the assigned customer account / territory.
  • Provide consultation on product configuration, solution and application to customers/end users including clinicians, doctors, Biomed etc.
  • Provide product demonstrations, product training and educate customer about the features/function and benefits of NK product and solution.
  • Support sales manager on projects, tender specification to review, propose solution to comply with the project and tender requirements.

Post-sales and technical service responsibilities :

  • Provide end user product and application training. This includes training schedule planning, preparation of training materials, end user quick guide and any other materials / requirement from the customers.
  • Provide support for project delivery and installation. This includes product setting/parameters and configuration set-up as according to customer requirement.
  • Provide support and work with Nihon Kohden IT / engineering team, logistic team and commercial team for the product commissioning and delivery according to customer requirement.
  • Provide technical and service support for assigned customers / territory. This includes warranty / post warranty support in product servicing, preventive maintenance services etc.
  • Provide product technical and service training to assigned customer.
  • Project standby duties for trial, post-sales and warranty support might be required.
  • Undertake any duties as required or directed as vital for achieving overall company goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering field preferred.
  • At least 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in the medical device business.
  • Candidate with experience in patent monitoring, cardiology / ventilator related product preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective product presentations and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrates resilience, resourcefulness, ability to learn and adaptability. Able to deliver result under pressure, possess the ability to handle work stress.
  • Strong teammate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
