About the role
Our Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in our Pasig City, Metro Manila location. As a full-time Purchasing Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and logistics processes to support the Company's overall operations and growth objectives.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services
- Coordinate with departments to understand their requirements and procure necessary materials and resources in a cost-effective and efficient manner
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms for the company
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed to ensure uninterrupted production and operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities, including spend analysis and supplier performance
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage the procurement budget and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the mining , manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively liaise with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address procurement-related challenges
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools
- Thorough understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and cost optimization principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- Must be IMMEDIATELY AVAILABE
