The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction and infrastructure projects. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Design
Prepare engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies
Review and analyze technical plans and construction documents
Assist in project cost estimation and budgeting
Project Management & Supervision
Supervise construction activities and monitor project progress
Ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
Monitor quality control and material standards
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and documentation
Assist in securing permits and regulatory approvals
Maintenance & Evaluation
Inspect completed projects for structural integrity and performance
Recommend repairs, improvements, or maintenance solutions
Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures when needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Licensed Civil Engineer (preferred, depending on regulatory requirements)
1–5 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles)
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles
Proficiency in engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
