Role Overview

The Credit Analyst is responsible for managing and safeguarding the company’s receivables through efficient credit risk management, payment monitoring, pricing alignment, and collection activities. This role ensures compliance with corporate policies while supporting business profitability through robust credit analysis and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Credit Management
  • Evaluate and monitor customer creditworthiness, ensuring alignment with company credit policies and pricing strategies.
  • Recommend and implement credit limits and terms to balance risk and profitability.
  1. Credit Block Releasing / Deblocking
  • Manage blocked orders by coordinating with Sales and Finance teams for timely release of credit holds.
  • Assess risk exposure and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained.
  1. Payment Clearing / Allocation
  • Ensure accurate allocation of payments to customer accounts, invoices, and pricing-related adjustments.
  1. Reconciliation of Accounts Receivables
  • Conduct regular reconciliation of customer accounts, resolving discrepancies in billing, pricing, and collections.
  1. Collection and Posting of EWTs
  • Monitor and post Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT) certificates, ensuring compliance with BIR requirements.
  1. Collections & Follow-Ups
  • Drive timely collection of receivables through systematic follow-up and negotiation.
  • Prepare and send reminders, dunning letters, and demand letters as required.
  1. Billing & Documentation
  • Prepare and send invoices, Statements of Account (SOA), and payment reminders to clients.
  • Ensure accuracy of billing by coordinating with Pricing, Sales, and Operations teams.
  1. Collateral Monitoring
  • Monitor and manage collaterals such as Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC), cash bonds, and other guarantees.
Technical & Functional Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit and collections, accounts receivable, or finance, preferably in the energy, FMCG, or B2B industry.
  • Technical Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of pricing mechanisms and their impact on receivables and credit risk.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) for credit management, collections, and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, pricing validation, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of tax compliance, particularly EWT handling.
