IT Support Specialist (with System Administration Knowledge) - Quezon City

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Support Specialist with a strong foundation in system administration. The role involves providing frontline technical support to end-users, maintaining IT infrastructure, and assisting with the administration of servers, networks, and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have both excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to contribute to IT system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Troubleshooting
  • Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Respond to support tickets, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Assist end-users with workstation setup, software installation, and account configuration.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and procedures for knowledge base.
System Administration
  • Assist in managing Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and domain services.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot server, application, and network issues.
  • Support IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud services.
  • Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to maintain system integrity.
  • Perform routine backups, restore testing, and system recovery when required.
Security & Compliance
  • Enforce IT security policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions across applications and systems.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, antivirus updates, and endpoint protection.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance IT efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, software, and operations teams for cross-functional support.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (required).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of IT support experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of system administration in Windows/Linux environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Office 365/Google Workspace.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Understanding of IT security practices, backup systems, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
Preferred Certifications (a plus, but not required)
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Linux Essentials or RHCSA
  • ITIL Foundation
