ELECTRICIAN TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies. This includes work on machinery, wiring, control panels, and electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment such as motors, control panels, lighting systems, and power distribution.
• Diagnose electrical faults and perform troubleshooting to determine problems in wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers and other technicians to support production and facility operations.
• Document work performed and maintain records of electrical maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly and effectively.
• Recommend improvements to systems or processes to enhance efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to work in a variety of environments (heights, confined spaces, etc.).
• Willingness to work on a shifting schedule or be on-call as needed.
