Tax and Financial Compliance Assistant

Job Summary

A Tax and Financial Compliance Assistant prepares, files, and monitors corporate tax returns (VAT, Income Tax, EWT) to ensure compliance with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and local government regulations. They maintain tax records, support audits, reconcile accounts, and often handle business permit renewals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Tax Filing and Compliance:

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, Income Tax, DST) on time.
• Documentation and Recording: Maintain, organize, and scan tax records, receipts, and supporting documents for audit readiness.

Audit Assistance:

• Support internal and external audits, including preparing schedules and organizing data for tax examinations.

Government Liaison:

• Handle coordination with the BIR, PEZA, and Local Government Units (LGUs) for permit renewals and inquiries.

Analysis and Review:

• Reconcile tax accounts, monitor 2307 forms, and review financial data for accuracy to avoid penalties.

Job Qualifications:

• Open to Fresh Graduate of BS Accountancy or Financial Management Course or any related course.
• Has a good administrative skill in order to make proper documentation and filing works
• Has good attention to details and communication skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles, accounting standards and ability to execute accounting entries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
