Cebu - Quality Assurance Associate (QA Associate)

Job description

QA Associate - F&B works closely with warehouse and quality teams to ensure that inventory records are accurate and that products are delivered in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Inspection: Verify incoming shipments for accuracy by counting and inspecting goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications.
• Quality Control: Check for any defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.
• Inventory Tracking: Maintain accurate records of inventory, updating systems with correct quantities and product information.
• Documentation and Reporting: Complete and verify documentation for incoming and outgoing products, such as receipts, packing lists, and shipping documents.
• Coordination with Teams: Work closely with warehouse and production staff to ensure products are properly stored and handled according to food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety standards, GMP, and sanitation guidelines when handling and storing products.
• Communication: Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues to relevant departments for corrective actions.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or related courses
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in production/commissary, inventory control and quality assurance preferably within the food & beverage industry or manufacturing industry.
• Willing to be trained in Manila (Basic necessities will be shouldered by the Company)

Skills:

• Knowledge in Asian Cuisine especially in Japanese
• Knowledge or Familiarity in Food Safety standards, HACCP, GMP, NMIS & FDA Legalities, storage requirements, and other sanitation guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic Math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
• Ability to use inventory management software and basic computer skills.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to keep thorough records.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
