Job Summary:
The Finance Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a focus on budgeting, cost control, financial planning, and strategic analysis. This role is critical in supporting the profitability and sustainability of the food business through accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models aligned with the company’s growth and cost-efficiency goals.
- Monitor and analyze food cost, labor cost, and operational expenses to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, and inventory teams to ensure accurate costing and stock valuation.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities related to expansion, new product development, and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA required).
- At least 3-5 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the food, FMCG, or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, food costing, and inventory management.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a commissary, food manufacturing, or multi-branch food retail environment.
- Familiarity with food safety and compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of supply chain finance and vendor management.
