Hemodialysis Technician

Qualifications:

• At least a graduate of a TESDA-Accredited Hemodialysis Technician Program,
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Allied Health Course Graduate (underboard) with Hemodialysis training.
• TESDA NC II in Dialysis Technician (for non-nursing graduates).
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate.
• Preferably with at least 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in a dialysis center or hospital.
• Fresh graduates may be accepted in training hospital facilities.
• Knowledge of dialysis principles, machine operation, and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices.
• Physical stamina for long shifts and patient lifting.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork in a clinical setting.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure or emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts preventive maintenance and monitoring of all hemodialysis machine and equipment, performing repairs whenever necessary and applicable.
• Prepares and primes dialyzers and dialysis bath according to formula
• Ensures that dialysis machine and equipment is rinsed and disinfected before the start of any procedure.
• Cleans machine after every procedure, taking all necessary precautions, reviewing nursing chart whenever necessary.
• Ensures that reprocessing machines are calibrated according to standard at the start of the day before any procedure.
