Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, technology risk, compliance, or a related field
  • Recent or near-completed degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
  • Foundational understanding of IT systems, networks, and databases
  • Basic knowledge of IT controls and risk concepts gained through coursework, projects, internships, or professional experience
  • Strong interest in IT audit, cybersecurity, risk management, and digital assurance
Professional Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Proactive approach to learning and professional development
Desirable but Not Essential
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as Essential Eight and NIST
  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as CISA
Responsibilities
  • Support the testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs), including user access management, change management, and backup processes
  • Collaborate with financial audit teams to identify IT risks relevant to financial reporting
  • Assist in conducting cybersecurity and technology risk assessments, including maturity reviews against frameworks such as the Essential Eight
  • Contribute to documenting systems, processes, and controls within client environments
  • Prepare clear and well-structured workpapers and assist in drafting client deliverables
  • Engage with client stakeholders to gather information and support audit and advisory procedures
  • Develop technical knowledge in IT audit, data analytics, and emerging technologies through continuous learning
