About the role
We are recruiting a Call Center Agent to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is part of our August Class virtual hiring initiative, offering flexibility through remote work arrangements. As a Call Center Agent, you will be the frontline representative of our company, delivering exceptional customer service by handling inbound and outbound calls, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.This role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction, building brand loyalty, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Key responsibilities- Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Provide accurate information about products, services and company policies to customers
- Handle customer complaints and concerns with empathy, working towards effective resolutions
- Document all customer interactions accurately in the company system for quality assurance and record-keeping purposes
- Identify opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell products and services where appropriate
- Follow established scripts, guidelines and quality standards to ensure consistent service delivery
- Meet and exceed call handling targets, including average handle time and customer satisfaction metrics
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to share best practices and support colleagues
- Participate in ongoing training and development programmes to enhance skills and product knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication skills with clear verbal and written English
- Strong listening and active engagement abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism
- Problem-solving skills and the capacity to think critically to resolve customer issues
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home setup for remote work
- Previous customer service or call centre experience is advantageous
- Proficiency with computer systems and call centre software is beneficial
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends if required
