The Senior Associate for Tax and Finance is responsible for providing advanced support and expertise in tax compliance, planning, and financial analysis. The role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting, and business operations to assist clients or the organization in maintaining compliance and optimizing financial performance.

  • Prepare and review tax returns (e.g., income tax, VAT, withholding tax) ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice to clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Handle tax audits, assessments, and disputes with regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of tax-related accounts.
  • Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to address tax and financial concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality, value-added services.
  • Develop and implement best practices for tax and financial processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
  • Review and oversee the work of junior associates to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required
  • With at least 3+ years relevant working experience
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar applications.
