About the role
LEC STEEL MANUFACTURING CORP.' is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team in our Metro Manila office. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating the cost and materials required for construction projects, ensuring the success and profitability of our operations.This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company in the construction industry.
What you'll be doing- Analyse project requirements and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates
- Gather and interpret data on materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Prepare comprehensive estimates that include all relevant costs and ensure project profitability
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
- Maintain a database of historical cost data to improve the accuracy of future estimates
- Assist in the bidding process and provide support to the sales team as needed
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools, such as spreadsheet applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential issues
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in cost estimates
- Knowledge of local construction regulations and guidelines
