Senior Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.
• Receive, process, and reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Generate and review monthly reports.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Prepare and make bank deposits.
• Assist with preparation for annual audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.

Accounting Specialist Qualifications/Skills:

• Able to work with multiple clients
• Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience with Quickbooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Speak fluent English
• Comfortable speaking with clients and the team
• Confident
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
• Outstanding math and research skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of general accounting experience
• 3+ years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online Accounting Software
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Experience with Hubdoc, Bill.com or other cloud-based software apps that integrate with Online Accounting platforms a plus
