AI Engineer & Automations Specialist (AU Client - Remote)

You will be required to assist in all aspects of AI solution development, workflow automation, and process optimisation, which may at times extend beyond the duties listed below.

Managing the end-to-end delivery of AI and automation initiatives, including identifying opportunities for automation, designing workflows, integrating systems, and ensuring seamless implementation across client operations.

This will require you to liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and international clients, translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage data inputs and outputs, and ensure all systems are functioning efficiently and accurately.

You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, monitoring performance, and continuously improving automation processes.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions such as chatbots, copilots, and intelligent workflows.
  • Build and manage automation workflows using tools such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), n8n, and Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Integrate AI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Cloud AI) into business systems.
  • Connect and optimise systems such as CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), databases, and third-party applications.
  • Develop scripts and lightweight applications using Python or JavaScript to support automation processes.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Monitor and maintain automation workflows to ensure reliability, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Perform prompt engineering and optimisation for AI model outputs.
  • Manage data preparation, validation, and structuring for AI and automation use cases.
  • Document workflows, systems, and technical processes clearly for internal and client use.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation pipelines and AI integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and client-specific requirements.
  • Utilise collaboration and documentation tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Notion).
  • Use workflow and task management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com) to manage workload effectively.You will be fully trained in the specific requirements, and you will be responsible for prioritising your daily workload.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in AI, automation, software development, or related roles.
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), or similar platforms.
  • Experience integrating APIs and working with AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Google Cloud AI).
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript for scripting and automation.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of workflow design, system integration, and process optimisation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and automation pipelines simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to think proactively and optimise systems efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with international clients.
