DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications with a strong focus on educational functionality and user experience.
• Front-End Development: Create engaging user interfaces with responsive design to facilitate effective learning experiences.
• Back-End Development: Build server-side logic, databases, and APIs that support the educational objectives of web applications.
• Database Management: Manage databases, including data modeling, querying, and optimization, to support educational content delivery.
• Security and Compliance: Implement rigorous security measures to safeguard educational web applications and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Pedagogical Integration: Collaborate closely with educators and instructional designers to integrate pedagogical principles and best practices into web applications.
• Testing and Improvement: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of educational web applications, and continuously improve them to enhance the learning experience.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and educational effectiveness.
• Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with emerging educational technologies and recommend relevant tools and frameworks for educational web development projects.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, content creators, and project managers, to align technology with educational goals.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and development processes, with a focus on educational application details.
• Project Reporting: Provide project updates, timelines, and resource requirements to team leads and project managers.
• Others: Performs other related duties as assigned by the EdITH Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience in web design and development (having a portfolio is a plus).
• Familiarity with educational web applications is a plus.
• Willing to work onsite
